Thirty Light Years - Staging Chinese Art

9 May - 22 November 2015

Organisation: GlobalArtCenter Foundation and The Guangdong Museum of Art China

“Thirty Light Years - Staging Chinese Art” presents a small part of the complex development of contemporary Chinese art and should be seen as guidance towards further developments of our cultural contemporary heritage. The exhibition presents abstract characteristics, a language developed from a long tradition of ink paintings. The works present the awareness of each artist, reflecting upon himself, where he came from, where he is and where to go. The artists communicating with themselves, fighting, discussing and creating works, as Performers on their own stage. This is today’s China. Ideas, thoughts, culture expressed in works of art. Trying to make all of us to learn about, question again and re-create a deeper understanding of contemporary China. A fast play on a big stage.
